Our Organization
For nearly 50 years, Onward Homes has been working to ensure every Calgarian has a safe, appropriate, affordable place to call home.
We are a non-profit organization that provides homes to low-income Calgarians.
We are partnering with various orders of government and other organizations to grow our portfolio of affordable housing.
Onward owns and operates more than 1,700 units across 31 buildings.
We serve a diverse mix of low income Calgarians, including those with mental health and mobility challenges, to the working poor, seniors and individuals leaving homelessness and domestic violence.
We welcome single people, families, seniors, Indigenous persons, newcomers to Canada, and others.
We work with 60 social-service agencies who refer and support residents.
Our mixed income approach helps reduce stigma, promotes community integration, and enhances quality of life for residents.
We subscribe to the Housing First principle: housing is the foundational element to every Calgarian’s well-being.
Our Onward team of dedicated employees serves residents and partners while ensuring quality homes.

Our residents come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. While no two stories are the same, we all share one thing in common, the desire to have a safe place to lay our heads at the end of the day. We create homes where everyone can thrive.
